Hey Supple Ones,

Today’s mobility adventure is simple; Open your hips like it’s your job. Note how hard it is to fully open your hip when your lower leg is in full flexion (on the wall).

Perform this mobilization 5-6 minutes a SIDE. We have friends that say this is worse than water boarding. I believe them.

As a 39 year-old runner, who for 26 of the 27 years I’ve been running
never committed to stretching, this one is the best! Sure it
hurts, but it opens the hips up in ways unlike anything else.

Thanks for all you do Kelly!

PS. Great article in ‘Competitor’ !!

As a desk-warrior for most of the week, this is something I’m trying to hammer. That said, there’s no way I can get even close to that much hip extension. Gotta keep working on it, and maybe someday the dreaded man-belly will banished. Thanks for this incredibly resource, Kstar!

Hey, thanks for all the love Kelly.

I’ll be traveling to the US and need some advice on where to buy mobility equipment.
    All help is appreciated.

Johan– Rogue Fitness has mobility packs put together http://www.roguefitness.com/rogue-mobility-packs.php
from the FAQ. Lacrosse balls are vailable at most sport stores.
Rollers online or some sport stores have them.

Thanks Kaitlin, I have got the balls and bands covered.

I was thinking more of the torture stuff like the quad roller.

Hi K-star, when I do the couch stretch on my left side I get numbness and tingling in my rectus femoris which I know is “no bueno”. Is this nerve entrapment at the front of the capsule? Are there any strategies for overcoming this? Thanks for providing this wonderful resource.

When I finished the ninja death pose (NJP) and lay on the ground to roll my butt around on a field hockey ball my legs shook uncontrollably. The shaking originated from my in-thighs and went all the way up my legs (I had my knees up at 90 deg). Just did a 2.4 kms cooper run test and blitzed it sub 10mins. PR. Thanks Silky.
