Hey Mobileros,

Congrats on taking us into the 2 million episodes viewed mark.  It’s like a out of control Mobility grass fire.  Keep it up.

When my training partner Carl Paoli was back on the Spanish National Gymnastics team back in the day, he was sometimes confounded by his coaches when they would say, “just go get some work done.”   We now have come to understand their sentiment a little more clearly.  Specifically, sometimes it doesn’t really matter what, it matters just that you do it.  The best mobility program is the one you AREN’T doing.  So to that end, keep it simple, keep it in context.  Open up your hips, and then get your sliding surface bits sliding again.

By the way, Mobility Wod super friend Donnie Thompson broke the world record in the squat this weekend.  He squatted an easy 1260 lbs.  Now that’s some strength suppleness.

Any chance you’ll get Goofy or any of the Disney Characters to mWOD? Now that would be EPIC!! Great stuff Kstar!

Are these hip openers safe to do if you already have torn cartilage in both hips? I’m a runner and the orthopedic surgeon I was seeing suggested physical therapy. That didn’t help much, so I’ve just cut back on running (though continuing short 5 mile runs 3 or 4 times a week) and incorporated things like spin class and elliptical junk. That said, the hips feel more tight and pinchy than anything else. If there’s shooting pain, I quit what I’m doing. Would these help or hurt? So far, they’ve felt great, but I’ve only done the hip extender bit 4 times. Thanks for the great site!

Sally– If it feels sketchy then it is. Stop doing it and go to work on another area. Having someone take a look at your run mechanics/ technique will help identify what the cause of the issue is and how to address it.

Hi Kelly great site! I was wondering if you could do some stuff on groins, I strained my left groin 6 months ago that took about 3 months to get better now I’ve strained my right groin. Are these weaknesses suggesting some problems up and downstream? I feel like it stems from my back especially around my T12-L1 region as that feels like its weak. Any thoughts much appreciated.. Cheers from down under Aussie Al

on about the 1:55min mark in the video you say “attack the tissue until it is done” what do you mean by that? I’m guessing it means until the pain or knot has reduced or completely gone away? thanks. love your videos!
