This Mobility Mission is about improving your shoulder extension range (with a bit of internal rotation as well). Try the hand lift off test before and after your mob and see how position dictates function.

I had a Bankart Shoulder repair for a chronic shoulder dislocation, first one occurred when I was 23 and then 4 more times, last on in Feb of this year… finally surgery… in May… at age 56. I am in very good shape and am a voluteer fire fighter and ride horses and motorcycle.. (just to share my lifestyle) I am not albe to get much range of motion back… my physical therapy does not seem to move the joint.. everything else moves.. my ribs come up, my shoulder blade creaks and neck muscles totally tighten.. very freaked out… looking for some ways to actually stabilize everything else.. to isolate the joint to be able to break up.. the scar tissue…
This blog is intended as a jump off point for athletes to systematically begin to address their nasty tissues and grody joint mobility. Use at your own risk and stop if you think it's gonna hurt you, your spine is going to come out your throat, or your face goes numb. But, understand that you should be responsible for your own business. Don't wait until you need a new knee. Pony up.
Thank you for MobilityWOD!
i am in love with this.
