"I just finished the Mobility WOD: Movement and Mobility 101 course... All I have to say is wow! Such great information that can benefit so many people within my career path! Very informative and innovative and it allows people who have any kind of understanding of exercise to do great things and become better at anything they are attempting to achieve. The information is taken beyond the standard understanding of fitness and presents a different and more effective way of thinking about and implementing and programming mobility, training and rehabing. I strongly suggest if you are in the health and fitness industry that you take this course and/or research into Kelly Starrett's teachings. Awesome information that will give you a fantastic understanding of how the body moves and how it should. His way of taking complex ideas and making them simplistic enough to understand them as logical thinking is an amazing aspect. I am eternally grateful for the opportunity to take this course and expand my knowledge in this seemingly complex field of fitness training!" - Gianni Nola
"If you are a coach, physical therapist, or chiropractor and you're not pumped to help people move better after watching the intro video to this course, then you are in the wrong profession. As a current physical therapy student and new CrossFit-1 trainer, I have found this course to be immensely helpful prior to beginning coaching at my CrossFit gym. Much of what is taught in this course is not taught in many physical therapy schools as PT schools have such a vast demand of rehabilitation education to condense into 3 years, that it's hard to include evaluating athletic movement quality into the curriculum.
I have found that this course helps to position me as a therapist for the future. I now have quick movement screens and assessments to identify leading indicators in order to help prevent individuals from obtaining injury in the gym (suffering a lagging indicator) and entering the complex US healthcare system. This course has provided me with a language to better communicate with athletes and patients about the quality of their movement positions. How to assess the archetypes of the spine, upper extremity and lower extremity were my favorite lectures. The course gives you a system to understand the mobility programming needs of an athlete by breaking down the basic osteokinematics of the spine, shoulder, and hip archetypes which are expressed throughout the different categories of movements.
Dr. Starrett was clear, straightforward, and laid back in his teaching style throughout the video lectures. The course videos kept me very engaged throughout the course. I'm glad to always have them to refer to and take notes. In summary, this course gives the coach or rehab professional an easy method to assess the quality of an athlete's position in order to reduce inefficiencies and ultimately create a position that is conducive to greater force output." - Jared Aguilar, SPT, CF-L1
"Dr. Kelly Starrett’s Movement and Mobility 101 course supports my knowledge in the areas of physical activity and sedentary behavior (sitting). This certificate program brought tremendous value to my own training program and future BehaviorFit endeavors. I am eager to incorporate the above principles into movement practices of individuals and organizations!...read full review here" - Nick Green, BehaviorFit
"I had been looking for a Mobility course on the Crossfit website for many months. First, there weren’t any being offered in my area and then they were not being offered anywhere. I was delighted when I received information about the online course that Kelly and Juliet were offering. I didn’t need to be convinced to register but by coincidence I had the privilege of meeting Kelly and Juliet at Crossfit Durango in Colorado about a week after the course went live. We discussed the financial commitments of training courses and how sometimes that is a challenge for some. The amount of knowledge acquired from taking this course far outweighed any financial sacrifices. The course is well organized. It is a very effective model of short videos with tests after each session. It gave me time to take detailed notes, go back and review the material and go at my own pace. Sometimes I leave training courses overwhelmed with too much information all at once. With this course I was able to watch a video and then apply that one new piece of knowledge to my coaching. By the end of the course I had retained a significantly greater amount of knowledge. This benefited not only me but my clients, other trainers at my box, my family, and co-workers at my job. I highly recommend taking this course. It is broken up into easily digestible chunks. Kelly has his unique way of conveying information in layman terms while inserting creative descriptive metaphors. You will not be disappointed." - Cindy Erickson
"The Starrett System: Movement and Mobility 101 Course became a game changer to me personally as an athlete, entrepreneur, and fellow Doctor of Physical Therapy, literally elevating my private practice here on Oahu. I found that across my athletes, the "MobilityWOD language" to communicate with them made it possible to see consistent gains without misunderstanding instruction! Taking the course contributed to correcting stubborn compensatory patterns due to poor myofascial tissue and joint mobility, with simplicity and precision. Restoring functional movement is the name of the game, with athletes and high performers alike, and everyone should have the right to move as a high performer within their own life! Mahalo Kelly, Juliet, and the MobilityWOD crew for providing such an opportunity! Aloha" - David Kekoamanawaleʻa Woodward, DPT, Naʻau Pono Physical Therapy, LLC
